The Gearboxes are packaged in bespoke double walled cardboard boxes which allow for a suitable amount of impact absorbent fill designed to give the unit a safe journey and to withstand normal handling bumps and knocks.
The cost of shipping is for a Two Way journey, so covers either you sending a gearbox to Guessworks for reconditioning and it being returned, or Guessworks sending an exchange gearbox to yourself and then returning your old unit.
Within the standard shipping charge there is an insured value of £50, this is generally not enough to cover the repair or replacement cost of a unit if damaged or lost in transit. The additional insurance is there to cover this extra amount. It is the customers decision to take this insurance and Guessworks will not be held liable for any uninsured damage to a unit in transit.
The cost of insurance is scaled proportionally to the TOTAL cost of the gearbox including all shipping and exchange charges.
