/ 'sh-moo / noun small blue animal famed for causing a nuisance to larger predatory pandas; stubborn temperament, but has endearing qualities.

Schmoo is a 1972 Mini 1000 Saloon. The shell, a MK4, was purchased directly from BMC in the late 70's by a family member and used to rebuild the '72 from the ground up. Unfortunately he passed away before the project was complete.

The Mini passed through the family, and spent a little time on the road in the mid 80's. An accident or two saw the car being laid up in a garage for over a decade.

It was not until 2001 that I found out about the Mini hiding under dustsheets, paint etc, in my father-in-law's garage. Insurance requirements determined that its current resting place was needed for the daily runner. Within two weeks our garage had been stripped, painted floor to ceiling and a chain hoist installed.

Schmoo was coming out to play!!!
